NVIDIA announced two new budget GPUs – GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti. The lattter will have two editions with 8GB or 16GB of VRAM (all other specs are absolutely identical). As you might expect from a 40-series GPU, these cards will support DLSS3.
8GB RTX 4060 Ti will debut on 24th of May, while its 16GB version and base RTX 4060 will be available in July.
Here are RTX 4060, RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB prices:
- RTX 4060 – $299;
- RTX 4060 Ti 8GB – $399;
- RTX 4060Ti 16GB – $499.
New GPUs are expected to perform 1.7 times faster than 30-series and 2.3-2.6 times faster than 20-series 60 models (with DLSS3 enabled).
Both GPUs require descent amount of energy: 110W for 4060 and 140W for 4060 Ti.
In our opinion 4060Ti 16 GB version is a waste of money, while RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is a nice option for a 1080p gaming and will perform well in most of titles.
